Welcome to the Two Hundred & Fourth Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, These are The Chronicles of Clawfinger
We sit down with Bard Torstensen, guitarist of rap metal pioneers Clawfinger, to celebrate the band’s explosive return with their first studio album in 18 years, Before We All Die, released February 20th 2026. Bard takes us back to his early days of picking up the guitar, the artists who inspired him to play, and the unexpected journey that led to the formation of Clawfinger while working together in a hospital. We uncover the hilarious story behind the band’s name, revisit the impact of their ground breaking debut album Deaf Dumb and Blind.
We dive deep into the creative process behind Before We All Die. Bard shares insight into the album’s title, the themes and inspiration behind the new tracks, and how recording and releasing music today compares to the 90s music industry. We also discuss the band’s upcoming European tour, the evolution of rap metal, and even explore the surprising world of Ice Skate Country music.
Also this week, we dive into the frankly bizarre workout video featuring Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kid Rock, because of course that exists. From there, Tom crushes millennial dreams by explaining how you can try to recover your old MSN Messenger chat logs, and why it is nowhere near as simple as we would hope. We also discuss the real-life Titanic remake involving a new version of the ill-fated ship, the unusual medal celebration from athlete Sterla Holm, and Jamie asks the all-important question: do you sing certain songs in the original singer’s voice? What follows is a chaotic and hilarious singalong that probably should not be heard by professionals. In our weekly catch up, Jamie battles early shifts, continues his WWE rewatch by reaching Survivor Series 2007, and checks out Transformers One. Tom deals with family drama, spends the day at Longleat Zoo and celebrates Scotland’s huge Six Nations victory over England in the latest chapter of one of rugby’s fiercest rivalries.
As always, we bring you our regular comedy podcast segments. Callum delivers brand new Treaching’s including a thought-provoking discussion about naked aliens. Tom’s Journal returns with the funniest things he has found on the internet this week. Our Single of the Week segment highlights two brand new music releases you need to hear. And Jamie’s audience participation challenge asks what your name would be if you combined certain letters from your parents’ names, which leads to some genuinely ridiculous results.

Welcome to the Two Hundred & Third Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, These are The Chronicles of The Oz Vlog
We welcome Oz historian and The Oz Vlog host Tori Calamito for a magical deep dive into the wonderful world of Oz. Tori joins us to talk about her lifelong love for Frank L. Baum’s Wizard of Oz universe and how discovering the original 1939 Wizard of Oz movie as a child sparked a passion that would grow into a career. From building an incredible collection of over 2,000 pieces of Oz memorabilia to becoming one of the most recognised voices in the Oz fan community, Tori shares how a childhood fascination turned into unforgettable real-life experiences. We discuss her favourite and least favourite Oz adaptations (yes, we’re looking at you James Franco), whether Hollywood should attempt a Wizard of Oz remake, and how the world of Oz continues to shape pop culture more than 100 years after its creation. We also explore the lasting cultural impact of The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, and the broader Oz universe across film, theatre and fandom.
Tori also tells us the story behind The Oz Vlog and her meteoric rise on social media, why she started the channel, and the incredible opportunities it has brought her. From interviewing the cast and crew of Wicked, to gifting Bowen Yang a Pfannee fanny pack (yes you read that correctly), to actually holding the original ruby red slippers, this conversation is packed with behind-the-scenes stories that Oz fans and movie lovers won’t want to miss.
Also this week, the show kicks off with Storytime with Tom as we dive into one of the strangest headlines of the year involving Olympic skiers at the Winter Olympics and some very unexpected microchipping. From there, we pay tribute to two fallen icons, 3 Doors Down vocalist Brad Arnold and Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, reflecting on their impact and legacy and Jamie brings the weirdness back to the table with ASDA’s new Valentine’s event where shoppers grabbing a red basket are apparently single and ready to mingle. Naturally, we have questions.
We also break down the so called controversial Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny, which we thought was excellent, and talk about this year’s standout Super Bowl commercials. The lads catch up on their weeks as Jamie returns to work, continues his WWE Survivor Series rewatch reaching Survivor Series 2005, and starts the new Marvel TV series Wonder Man. Meanwhile Tom enjoys a well earned week off celebrating his partner’s birthday, catching up on TV shows and reacting to Scotland’s disappointing start to the Six Nations. As always, Callum returns with a brand new Teachings, including a bold suggestion for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Tom’s Journal features the funniest things he has found on the internet this week. Our Single of the Week segment highlights two brand new song releases you need to hear. And Jamie’s audience participation challenge asks what you would name your child if you had to name them after a 10 out of 10 album.

Welcome to the Two Hundred & Second Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, These are The Chronicles of Jonathan Davenport
Jonathan joins us to talk about his incredible career in art, design, and storytelling. From falling in love with drawing through classic 80s cartoons like The Transformers, to building a career driven by imagination and narrative, Jon walks us through the moments that shaped him as an artist. We dive into his early days working as a writer and designer in video games, how storytelling became the backbone of his creative process, and how that passion led to collaborations with some of the biggest companies in the world including Disney, Nickelodeon, Mattel and more.
Jon also shares the incredible story of answering a Craigslist advert posted by professional wrestler Xavier Woods, which sparked a life-changing working relationship that has now lasted over 12 years. That connection led to Jon designing iconic wrestling gear for WWE tag team The New Day and becoming a key creative force behind their visual identity, as well as many more professional wrestlers since then. We also talk about his work in film, including F+ starring Randy Couture, and the powerful animated short Bridges, created alongside WWE Superstar Big E, celebrating Black History through the story of Ruby Bridges.
Also this week, we pay tribute to legendary snooker commentator John Virgo, who sadly passed away this week. From there, things take a sharp left turn as Tom challenges Jamie to create his ultimate fantasy 80s rock festival line-up. Story Time with Tom delivers one of the most unbelievable true stories we’ve ever covered, involving a billionaire, penis enlargement surgery and a tragic outcome. Jamie then brings us one of the most British stories of the year as South Tyneside Council reveal the newly voted names for their bin lorries, including of course, Binny McBin Face, much to Tom's dismay.
The boys also catch up on their weeks, with Jamie finally back at work while continuing his long-running WWE rewatch journey through Survivor Series 2002. Tom has a quieter week as he prepares for his partner’s birthday while getting increasingly excited for the upcoming Six Nations rugby and the Super Bowl. As always, the regular segments are back. Callum returns with brand new Treachings, including a surprisingly deep thought about frozen water. Tom’s Journal rounds up the funniest things he’s found online over the past week, Single of the Week highlights two brand new music releases we think deserve your attention, and Jamie’s audience participation challenge asks listeners to invent their own custom crisp/chip flavour.

In this edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, we sit down with Kevin Miserocchi, Executive Director of The Tee & Charles Addams Foundation, joins us on what would have been Charles Addams 114th Birthday for an in-depth and fascinating conversation about the life, work, and legacy of legendary cartoonist Charles Addams. Also this week, Tom kicks things off by describing a truly wild outfit he spotted, which somehow spirals into a discussion about personal fashion faux pas and Prince Albert piercings. Things only get stranger as Tom educates Jamie on the pseudo penis of the female spotted hyena, while Jamie brings the food chat by revealing some incredible KFC menu items from around the world and challenging Tom to invent his dream crisp flavour following the return of the Walkers 'Do Us A Flavour' campaign.
The boys also catch up after a quieter week. Welcome to the Two Hundredth Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, These are The Chronicles of Scott Gessler
In this edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, we sit down with freelance concept artist Scott Gessler for a candid and inspiring conversation about his life, career, and creative journey in the world of concept art. Scott takes us back to his early love of movie monsters and creatures, how that passion shaped his artistic voice, and the creative process he uses to bring worlds and characters to life. We dive deep into Scott’s professional work, including his role on Wicked, where he created the concept for Chistery, the leader of the flying monkeys, and how his art translates from imagination to the big screen.

Scott shares the pivotal moment that changed everything when Emmanuel Shiu visited his art school as a guest lecturer, took a chance on him, and became a mentor, leading to Scott’s very first professional role on Shazam: Fury of the Gods. Jamie brings a brand new world championship straight out of Yorkshire with the World Coal Carrying Championship, before telling the unbelievable story of a former Power Ranger who used the skills he learned on screen for some very real and very evil purposes. The boys then catch up on their week as Jamie gets buried in editing, finds time to read a book, and continues his ongoing WWE Survivor Series rewatch, while Tom prepares for a new course at work and reluctantly talks about the NFL playoffs despite his best efforts to avoid it.

It’s the Christmas Special of The Chronicles of Podcast and things get festive, heartfelt and deeply unhinged very quickly.
This year’s festive edition kicks off with Tom sharing the genuinely heart-warming story of Aston Villa captain John McGinn carrying Ozzy Osbourne’s grandson Sidney out onto the pitch in Birmingham, before moving straight into Christmas music done properly with Alex Melton’s brilliant festive album Pop Punk Goes Caroling, where pop punk classics like All The Small Things are reborn as Christmas carols. Absolutely beautiful stuff… until Tom single-handedly destroys the Christmas spirit by explaining why giraffes drink urine as part of their flehmen response.
Jamie then breaks down a recent LadBible poll ranking the UK’s favourite parts of a Christmas dinner, which sparks debate, outrage and strong opinions, as expected. The boys also talk through their Christmas plans for the year before catching up on their week. Jamie heads to his daughter’s school church performance which somehow turns into loud “6-7” chants, goes out for a family meal and meets his best mate to exchange gifts, while Tom talks through an early Christmas Day with his partner and brings everyone fully up to speed with his sports teams in what might genuinely be one of the most chaotic weeks in NFL history.
As always, the regular segments return for the Christmas edition. Callum brings a fresh set of Teachings, including a surprisingly strong idea involving the classic film Groundhog Day. Tom’s Journal delivers the funniest things he’s found on the internet this week, the Single of the Week segment becomes a festive double feature as the boys reveal their singles and albums of the year, and Jamie’s audience participation challenge asks you to share your most memorable Secret Santa gifts, whether they were incredible or absolutely horrific.

Welcome to the One Hundred & Ninety-Seventh Edition of The Chronicles of Podcast, These are The Chronicles of Mother Vulture
We sit down with Georgi Valentine and Brodie Maguire from Mother Vulture for an in-depth, free-flowing conversation about music, creativity and controlled chaos. We explore the journey behind their upcoming album Cartoon Violence, released January 15th, and how the band has evolved from their earlier work into something louder, sharper and harder to define than ever. Georgi and Brodie talk about their earliest musical influences, from learning classic piano to discovering a love for rock through Jack Black and School of Rock, and how those wildly different beginnings helped shape their sound. We dig into how Mother Vulture came together, the origin of the band’s name, and why even they struggle to fully describe the genre-bending style they’ve become known for.
The conversation also dives deep into Cartoon Violence, breaking down the progression in the recording process from their previous album, the mindset behind the new material, and what fans can expect from this next chapter. We discuss their collaboration with Gretsch and Fender Guitars and how that came to be. Georgi and Brodie share details about their upcoming headline tour beginning January 31st & much more.
Also this week, the madness kicks off with Tom asking the important question no one ever seems to answer: how do evil villains actually recruit henchmen? What’s the interview process, where are these jobs advertised and what skills do you need to work for an evil mastermind? From there, the boys dive into an unfortunate betting mishap involving Scottish football and take a look at one of Donald Trump’s many bizarre Truth Social posts. Jamie brings follow-ups to previous stories on the show, including a listener-submitted prison story and the unbelievable case of a woman being denied compensation after being caught competing in a Christmas tree throwing competition. Things get even stranger when Jamie completely blows Tom’s mind with a real-life story involving a miniature horse helping children wake up in hospital after anaesthesia, which genuinely has to be seen to be believed. The boys also catch up on their week as Jamie celebrates his daughter’s birthday, continues his Stranger Things rewatch and pushes on with his mission to watch every single WWE Summerslam as he reaches Summerslam 2025 and gets tantalisingly close to the finish line. Tom enjoys some rare time off work, catches up on TV, heads out for a carvery, relaxes for once and, of course, keeps everyone up to date with how his sports teams have been getting on.
As always, the regular segments are back. Callum delivers a brand new set of Teachings, including a thought-provoking idea involving rich people. Tom’s Journal returns with the funniest things he’s found on the internet this week. The Single of the Week segment highlights two brand new song releases we think you should check out. Jamie’s audience participation challenge asks listeners a very important question this time around: what do you think is the best trap in the Home Alone franchise?
